Salutations! I am Tiffany Covington the Center Director (Co-Owner) of Scholar Factory and I want you to get to know me and the history behind Scholar Factory. I grew up in right here in Louisville, KY and attended JCPS schools K-12 and Bellarmine University in order to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Education and Master of Arts in Education. I am certified by the State of Kentucky for Elementary Education K-5, Special Education for Learning & Behavior Disorders K-12, and as a Literacy Specialist (Reading & Writing) K-12. I taught in four JCPS elementary schools over a nine year span. First as a classroom teacher in grades 1, 3, 4, and 5 (Comprehensive & Advanced Program classes) and then, as a Goal Clarity Coach (aka resource teacher). Lastly, I served as a Primary Reading Interventionist (K-2). I have also tutored many children after school hours on my own time. I have started working on completing a Rank I program in Curriculum and Instruction. Now for the fun stuff: I am married to Mr. Trevor the Business Director (Co-Owner) of Scholar Factory. We have a beautiful home here in Highview. We have six adorable pets: Roxi (Chihuahua/Pomeranian Mix), Chico (Chihuahua/Dachshund Mix), Gus (Pomeranian), Oscar (Orange Tabby), Piper (Calico), and Harvey Dent (a Beta Fish). I absolutely love to garden (almost as much as teaching)! I am looking forward to getting to know you too!
